토양환경 및 오염물질 제어 실험실 (Environmental Soil Science and Contaminant Control Lab.)

토양환경 및 오염물질 제어 연구실은 토양이라는 환경매체로 유입되는 다양한 화학물질의 거동 및 제어에 대한 연구를 수행하고 있다. 특히 생태계 기반으로서 토양이 갖는 매체적특성에 관한 연구와 폐광산 및 미군기지 등과 같이 오염물질에 노출된 지역에서 토양의 질 변화를 모니터링하는 연구를 중점적으로 수행하고 있다


1) 토양 시스템의 attenuatin and resilience capacity 연구

외적 환경변화에 의해 토양의 본질적 기능 (생물생산, 물질순환 조절 및 완충작용, 생물서식처 등)이 교란될 때, 이를 최소화하고 교란전의 상태로 되돌아가려 하는 성질 즉, soil resilience에 관여하는 토양인자를 평가하고, 토양이 지닌 resilience를 극대화하는 토양관리 방안에 대한 연구를 수행한다.

2) 토양 환경 내 오염물질 거동기작 연구

열역학적 관점과 반응속도론적 관점에서 토양에서의 복잡한 표면반응과 물질이동 현상 이해를 바탕으로 오염물질의 장기적 거동을 평가한다. 특히, 생태공학적 물질 순환 원리를 이용한 친환경 복원방법 개발을 위한 토양의 자연저감 현상을 평가하는 연구에 주력하고 있다.

3) 오염부지 정화 복원기술 개발

중금속 또는 유류물질로 오염된 부지를 정화하고 토양의 질을 개선시키는 복원기술을 연구한다. 생물학적 처리에의한 유류물질의 분해 및 Biochar, 산업폐기물, lime based 폐기물 등의 안정화제를 처리한 토양에서 오염물질의 안정화/고정화, 식생회복, 독성저감 현상을 평가한다.

1) 오염 토양 시스템에서 이온성 중금속의 비평형적 거동 현상 구명 (2017.6-2020.5: 한국연구재단)

- 다공질 매체에서 비평형적 물질 거동 이해
- 장기간 방치된 폐광산 부지에서 중금속이동에 관여하는 비평형적 변수 도출


2) 화학사고 후 육상 생태계 오염 모니터링 및 육상생태 영향평가 기술개발 (2016.7-2021.12: 한국환경산업기술원)

(i) 화학사고로 인해 육상 생태계로 유입된 화학사고물질들에 의한 국내 주요 육상 생물종의 독성 평가 및 육상 생태계의 영향 평가를 위한 표준화된 방법을 개발, (ii) 실험실 수준에서의 생물독성평가(bioassay)를 통해 육상 생태계로 유입된 화학사고물질들에 의한 국내 육상 주요 생물종들의 독성 데이터베이스(DB) 확보 및 표준화된 생태독성평가 기법 마련, (iii) 화학사고 발생 우려가 높은 산업단지 주변의 경관 수준의 육상 생태계 모니터링을 통해 화학사고로 인한 육상 생태계 영향 현장 모니터링 지침 마련


3) 기후변화 영향 및 취약성 통합평가 모형 요수 기술 개발 : 산림, 농업부문 (2014.5-2021.3: 한국환경산업기술원)

(i)농업부문의 기후변화에 대한 한국형 영향 및 취약성 평가 모형개발, (ii)산림과 농업부문의 기후변화에 대한 한국형 통합영향 및 취약성 평가 모형개발, (ⅲ)리스크 기반의 영향 및 취약성 평가에 기반한 적응대책 도출기법 제시
